Hi Readers, this week I am back with another interesting topic Indian Ideology towards food. We Indians eat a lot. And getting up in this environment I too love eating (but believe me I am not fat). But after seeing the change in food system, I wished if I could share this with you.
As you know India is a sub-tropical area. It has a hot, warm & wet type of climate. And the food we eat is not different, we Indians like to eat hot and spicy food or a most appropriate word should be "CHATPATA".
No Indian could resists there spicy food from chat-samosas to jalebi in snack and Kebabs-Curries-Tandoories in meals, we just love it. Each an everything has its own specialty and we love all of them. We just control ourselves after seeing these mouthwatering dishes and we are like just "Toot Paro" (Just broke into it).
But, nowadays, remarkable changes can be seen in the Indian food. The backbone of Indian food the street food culture has got a drastic change from properly cooked fried and savory chat-samosas to Chinese. Yes! a lot of Chinese influence can be seen all around. Stalls of Momo, Chow-mien, Friedrice, Chilly Potato/Paneer/Chicken, Manchurian, Noodles etc. can be seen more than the stalls of authentic Indian delicacies. We too are attracted by this Chinese culture. Not only Chinese but a lot of Western culture like Pizzas, Burgers, Subs, Fries Chicken, Tacos, and much much more can be seen throughout India.
This seems no problem till its in limited quantity. And we all know plenty of anything is dangerous but though we don't understand. The increasing trend of these Chinese and Western food that we are involving in our day to day life is not a god sign. This is engulfing the future, the youth of our country. We all, especially youth, is eating it a lot, many of us even daily. The chemicals like Ajinomoto ( click for details) is found in most of the Chinese food which has a long term bad effect on our health. Plus these daily consumption of fried food are also accumulating fats in our body. Many cases of obesity in young kids can be seen.
I respect each and every food culture and don't advice anyone to don't eat it but eat it wisely in a desirable amount that wouldn't harm you.
But whatever be the situation Indians will not stop eating. We loved eating and always will. Ya, its true we should control eating all this daily or it will harm us and I think most of us is realizing and hope others will soon. So throwaway worries and eat what you want but in control.
Hope many of our readers today will take pledge ( at least a resolution, no !! ok ok just a try, fine !) to control their habit and help in development of yourself, society and if possible the whole future.
And for their this step, lets celebrate with sweets. Ah, okay okay no sweets, only healthy food, done!!!!
